The denim is still a rich dark blue colour, with 555 stamped on the back of the Levi Strauss & Co. Embossed black coated doughnut buttons.
Made in the USA with blue line selvedge. This was the Levi's budget denim jacket of the time, in comparison to the premium red line Selvedge 506xx, and companion to the lot 201 jeans. Increasingly rare LVC denim jacket, and something for the serious LVC denim collector.
No red tab, as that wasn't introduced by Levi's until 1936. The last two pictures are taken from the internet, and are for reference only, showing the little fold out card tag that originally came with the jacket, explaining its history. Please see the key measurements shown in the pictures to make sure it fits.
